Carb Cheater 2.0

I watched this video last night. Disregarding the Carb Cheater, what do you guys think about the carb adjustment he demonstrates, about seating the carb mixture screws, then unscrewing them 2 full turns (I believe with an Edelbrock, the recommendation is 2.5 turns out), then using vacuum to tweak the amount of lean to the car to reach the highest level of vacuum? Then I believe he richens it a bit after that, 1/8 to 1/4 turn out?

That's the standard operating procedure. Holleys generally start at 1 turn out.

Great info from Bud ! I’m very interested in the Carb cheater and want to see the results from this install.

The thread will be a little slow going, the engine is in another vehicle, but, I'm going to install it anyway for testing purposes, then it will all get transferred in my Charger. The D100 currently has MSD etc, will be removing some of the stuff first to revert to closer to original electrical equip on the 383. I want to rebuild the carb, do some rewiring, I'll return to the thread when I'm ready, but will post some pics of unboxing first in the upcoming days to show what comes with.

You might think about only changing one thing at a time to see how the new part effects your engine's performance. Why not install the Carb Cheater first before any other changes?
