Carb help needed

My 71 Bee has a 383 4-speed. The numbers on the Carter 4-barrel are H8 4616 S. I can't find this carb listed anywhere. Is it the right one or did the previous owner switch it out? What was the stock Carter for a 71 383 4-speed with A/C and manual brakes?

Your carb-69 383 A/T. OE carb? All I can find are 2 bbls. for that year with that combo.

1971 383's used a Holley R4667 or R6191 without an airgrabber and a R4734 or R6193 with an airgrabber.

I'm beginning to think it is a replacement. The broadcast sheet under carb says 48 for whatever carb it is supposed to be. However, I know that they did put Carter carbs on certain 383's and I think mine is supposed to as the Holley ones were for the 335 horse and 440 engines.

fwiw also
be prepared to pay alot when you find one
since there were so many different ones used back then
the holleys were notorious leakers
not many are left to be found today.
i have alot of loot into a 6193...
i know of a few 6191's for sale
and none of them are cheap.
i'm talking more then 300 just for a core!

As far as I can tell it has a matching numbers drivetrain although the engine is blue. I have two broadcast sheets and unless they are great forgeries they appear to be real.
