hi,both are manifold activated chokes,the 4299s,was on the front of a two four set up for a small block and does not have a choke plate.the 4131 was on the rear,mark

4299S is the stock 4bbl for 67 383, AT w/o CAP.
That is the one on my 67 Charger and it is the best carb I have ever owned.
