That T-Bird's lines reminded me of the Pontiac Bonneville SSEI, the supercharged one, that was a fairly handsome car, I liked the emerald green one.

Interestingly, my understanding is that the Ford 3.8 V6 was basically plagiarized off the GM 3.8, when Ford realized they needed a new V6 on a short timeline.
No coincidence that both Ford and Pontiac offered a supercharged version of their 3.8s. I haven't done a deep dive, but I wouldn't be surprised if I learned that the Eaton supercharger components were interchangeable between the Ford and GM.
I had one of those. Nice ride. Mine was pewter. I traded it for the WS6
All that talk reminded me of the 98 50th anniversary Silver Bullit. It's got the 4.2L bigblock windstar engine. Which is actually a good mill!
I parked it in about Nov.. briefly started in Jan? Sat all winter, and it fired right up by itself! Never unhooked the battery. That's a brain twister..
I had a 1989 Bonneville SSE, which I nearly replaced with an SSEI in '92. After making big payments on the '89 SSE, with a company reimbursement, I decided not to go down that road again, and switched paths to the old Imperial. Those Pontiacs were nice cars, and if I had gone that route, it would have been emerald green with a tan interior.

I thought these kinda looked like a BMW. I think that is what Pontiac was going for.

I had a 2000 Dodge 1500 Sport Club Cab in Red. I lowered it and put a tonneau cover on the box. I had big tires on the optional 3-spoke chrome rims. It was a comfortable, good looking truck. I could drive 500 miles from St. Thomas, Ontario to Chryslers at Carlisle on one tank of gas. That was 25 mpg. (Can.) with the 5.2. I liked that truck; over 100,000 miles, with only a water pump change.
I sold the truck and bought a 3-year-old 2005 Magnum R/T with 5.7 Hemi. This car had almost every option on it, and sat in the dealership showroom for a year before a lady bought it. She traded it in 2 years later, with only 18,000 K. (11,000 miles) on it. It was Dark Red Metallic, with tan interior, a very attractive combination. This car was comfortable and powerful. With the seats folded flat, I could carry a lot of cargo. I am pretty sure it could show its tail lights to my 1967 Coronet R/T. Later double knee replacement made it uncomfortable to get in and out of the car, so it had to go. I never really warmed up to the Dodge Caravan looking face. Export Dodge Magnums got a Chrysler 300 front clip and interior, and were marketed as the Chrysler Estate. In my opinion, they looked better this way.

The trucks. Dakota and Ram. Old style Ford and Chevy. 90's 4x4 trucks are the best thing for snow ever built. Power to weight was good. Light enough yet to handle it well. Could still get a real Bronco. Or Ramcharger(for a bit) or two door K5 Blazer. The Cummins was simple. Ford's 7.3 was good. Big blocks still available.
Car? 94 Mustang(I had/have one my boy has it now) still the old 5.0 but in the newer body/platform.
Several Japanese cars. Not all just the sporty ones. V6 Honda Accord was snappy and a tank. I always liked Preludes with the Vtech also. Or the Dodge Stealth twin turbo, but I would never want to fix one of those nowdays.
GM W bodies were tanks, except the 3.4's. Sucks to fixing those though, unless you had a lift and were able to drop the entire engine out the bottom of the car. That's how they put them in there at the factory.
The Chrysler cars of that era were love/hate. Too bad they never made a Magnum powered sports coupe. Too bad Avenger got the worst transmission I have ever seen.
I miss the box Caravans. Early 90's caravan was immortal. Father in law put 400k on one. They made a V6 AWD if you wanted to pony up for it.
C4 ZR1. King of the hill. The rest of the vettes are meh.
Wish I could afford a Viper.

Bought my Daytona turbo brand new, still have it, still love it
Rides great, handles great, 4 wheel discs stop great, 5 speed shifts smooth, and even with stock-ish boost levels (stock was 7psi, currently set for 12) it's got a hell of a punch. I liked all the turbo Mopars from then...even (especially?) the goofy turbo vans!
Probably the biggest "sleeper" I had was my 91 Spirit R/T with the 16v Lotus head. 225hp bone stock (and mine wasn't stock)

Probably the most fun I had though was when I met Carroll Shelby with my 89 Shelby CSX-VNT
Dodge Shadow, 2.2 intercooled turbo, first ever production variable-geometry turbo (full boost RIGHTNOW!), 15# fiberglass composite wheels, Recaro seats, Kaminari body kit, huge 4 wheel discs...fun little go kart of a car! He built 500 of them and it was a blast talking to the man in the pits one day at VIR.

My son has a '92 Stealth R/T Twin Turbo AWD. It is a pretty complicated car for its day, and a brute to work on. He had the turbo's rebuilt, and then the oil pressure started going away. We pulled the engine, and removed the crankshaft, to find that the bearings were worn. We had the crank reconditioned and installed new bearings. The crankshaft is actually bolted in with a one-piece stud girdle. A very stout lower end on a V-6!
Later on, the hydraulic tensioner for the DOHC timing chain failed, and took the engine out. My son was able to locate another low mileage Stealth R/T engine, and that is what is in it now. When he was a kid, this was the car picture on his bedroom wall.

My 2004 Holden GTO is pretty fun, a light little sled with 500 HP. Didn't buy it for its looks however.
Also have a 2001 Duramax truck that just turned 300K miles after my Arizona trip. Still going strong.

I’m a little bit of a fan of the 4th gen Camaro / firebird too. Made this my daily driver a few months ago, but I’m kinda looking at selling it, one of those cars that are cool wanted to see what they are like, rode the ride and had fun, time to get off
