Stunningly BEAUTIFUL day on the North Shore of Lake Pontchartrain today and the car show scheduled for yesterday was rain delayed to today.
The unbelievably Armageddon-like thunderstorms with continuous lightning strikes (2,200 strikes in 15 minutes) that marked a cool front coming through Saturday morning is the reason for the cool, dry weather today. 77° at 5PM and a wonderful breeze.
Anyway, GREAT turnout and here's a few pix.

Well deserved!!!
Thanks buddy, but the main thing I feel is gratitude to all of the other registered vehicle owners who are the ones that voted for my car. I believe that other than "People's Choice" all other votes and awards were based solely on the tally cards that only registered vehicles owners get, so they are responsible for me getting that award.
I will say again though, I do like the new height of the rear end with the addition of those Calvert split mono leaf springs, but I may get the front lifted up a bit with the torsion bars. I'm about to go to a local shop that has a very meticulous "old school" front end alignment guy who owns the shop. I had an alignment done in October when I got it out of the shop that installed the new front suspension and K-member, but now that I've had some drive time, I find that it "train tracks" aka follows dips in the road that are parallel to the road, and last night when I left the event, the sheriff who was directing traffic at the highway said "let's see what you got" so being inclined to follow the instructions of a LEO, I obliged. I found the front steering to be a little "difficult" to compensate for the rear tires breaking loose, in that I oversteered a bit, and I've never had that problem in the 7 years or so that I've had my car. I believe the new power steering has something to do with that, but I intentionally did not get the quick ratio box from Borgeson or anything else that would amplify my input at the steering wheel, so I want to see if those issues can be addressed to any degree by making front end alignment adjustments. I think that there's a setup that helps the "wandering" and is best for going down the quarter mile, but I don't remember what that is, toe in/out, caster, camber, etc.

Biomed what is the name of the alignment shop? From one old timer who needs another old timer to do it right! LOl

Accurate Alignment I spoke with the owner today. I'm going to see if I can find or ask the shop that did the 1st alignment for the printout showing the specs they set it at, but he knew about the problems I was having after I described them and I'm sure he can help make it better.
