Cats

Get rid of the kittens
Or at least one of them, and that one is a boy who is the troublemaker and gets a kick out of chasing the girl Maddie around the house. The other kitten we got, a girl is ok with Maddie. I told my stepdad to get rid of the boy kitten but thats his best buddy and he doesn’t want to get rid of him, and Maddies whose messing around the house and living in fear is my best buddy…. now you see my dilemma.

That’s pretty cold to get rid of the family pet for a bunch of feral kittens.
The kittens are both fixed, we got them back in December at 3ish months old… but I agree it is cold, but thats how fed up my stepdad and mom are… I’m to that point too but I still have some hope

says “well they’re not pissing all over my house”
It’s only pissing because the other cats were brought into the house. It didn’t piss before. Seems to me the other cats are the problem causing the adult cat to piss. Get rid of the other cats and problem solved. Or you could take your cat and move out.

You think it is? Her poop is a blackish color but I don’t remember seeing red in it, she has not been to the vet since we got her 3 years ago back in 2022
Blackish color could also be internal bleeding if I remember correctly. My cat Groot who died earlier this year of cancer had dark poop. The poops should just be brown in most cases for cats.
I don't want to be heartless to the kittens with a just get rid of them attitude, but there should be some security in being there first, it seems only fair to put the effort into rehoming the new ones.
I do see the other replies and your stepdad does seem like a dick, I'd go to war with the guy but not everyone is like me, and I have no idea about you situation, maybe you explained it earlier in this thread but there isn't a lot of activity here and my memory for those kind of things sucks. I would totally reply to his comment about pissing all over the house with a "I'll keep that in mind when you are much older" :p
If the old cat does go up for adoption at least get a full check up first, you could be passing an ill animal on to someone else and its just a mess for everyone/thing involved.

I disagree, even if the litter says its ok, if you can see its black, and its been years since a vet visit, then go to the vet. Products like that can be great for monitoring but not deciding on a course of action when a problem is going on.

It was blackish when I saw it then when it was picked up it was brown if that helps
