I recently purchased a steering column (b body) for my 68 Charger (didn't have one in the car when I bought the shell) are there any web sites that will help in teardown and rebuild of that particular column?
There Is nothing to it.
2 bolts/nuts hold upper column shroud to main shaft, remove main shaft out through the bottom, replace the 2 bearings upper and lower, replace the indicator cam and wiring loom if you want. then reassemble, once you start pulling it apart you will see that it is pretty self explanatory.
for parts for it you can try: www.yearone.com www.classicindustries.com
mancini
etc.
Benno is right on. Mostly likely the bearings will be in good condition and not need replacing. If they do make sure you get the Mopar part or the Timken part. Stay away from anything Chinese here!
