I just got back from McDonald's. I like their spicy chicken wrap. The people at the windows ALWAYS compliment the '81 Camaro, as well as any other place I take it. I bought it running well for $900. That was 10 years ago. It's bright yellow and we put black rallye stripes on it and a few Transformers badges. It gets more compliments than my other much more expensive cars. My daughter would drag race it in the 1/8th sometimes but mostly lose. I'm not sure if it has a 350 or a 305. It will spin the tires for a bit.

I had a 4 bolt main 350 in the garage that I took to famous race engine builder. Now it's a 383 putting out 475 hp 475 torque. It's not in yet. I also picked up a posi for it. Yes, it has some bondo cracks, but the movie BumbleBee wasn't perfect either. She should win a few races next spring

Okay, I love Mopars, but for dirt cheap fun, get a late 70's early 80's Camaro. Preferably yellow with black stripes. Just use it for McDonald's and Walmart runs. She takes it to car shows and lets kids sit in it and get their picture taken. They think it's the real robot.

I always let kids sit In my cars and get their picture taken at our local shows. I was surprised when I was in Washington recently and a guy told my grandkids jump in and get their picture taken.

I I shook his hand and thanked him. Told him I do the same. We talked for a little while. Goes to show, car guys are the same everywhere and basically good people.

I love when the racers let the kids in the seat! Here is my nephew Jack in a Pro mod at flying H.
In August I took Jack for gas in the charger when I was bracket racing, we drove from the race track. He is a great kid, he is the motivation behind many of our automotive adventures!

I have a soft spot for 78-81 Camaros. My dad bought a '79 brand new for his first car when he was 21. It was just a 305 auto but he absolutely loved that car. It was carmine red with red interior and T tops. My mom bought him Cragar S/S for it for Christmas and my uncle bought him rear window louvers. He did a couple small things like exhaust and Edelbrock intake and Holley carb. It was a daily driver and he would wash and wax that car religiously. I came along in '83 and after a year of cracking their heads on the roof trying to get me in the car seat in the back, pops decided that it was time for a family car. He sold the car to my mom's brother who rode it hard and put it away wet. It sat in his driveway for years not running on flat tires and my dad had to see it every time there was a family gathering. It eventually got sold to a young neighborhood kid who got it running and drove it for a few months until the leaf spring mounts rotted and went up into the trunk. I was probably 12-13 years old when that happened. If I was older I would have bought it and restored it for him. It's probably a KIA now.
