China manufacturing ✈️Airliners

They should be able to shoehorn a few more rows of seat in there for short Chinamen, but that won't work out so well for 6' westerners.

Early prototype was just leaked...

All of the scheduled maintenance is already farmed out to Asia and India, so it's not surprising.

Everything else made in China is substandard ****. I don't want to fly on one

You can laugh all you want BUT they are just as capable of producing a superb product over than as anyone. They have the latest technology, their engineers are smarter and they have a far more dedicated workforce. The only reason you get "****" from China is because some money-hungry importer wouldn't specify or pay for a quality product. In America an overpaid unionized dick fucks something up he gets a slap on the wrist and then paid time off to deal with the PTSD. Studies take place and processes get implemented to ensure that the asshole can't pull the same **** again - all adding to the already ridiculous cost of the item. Over there they'd take that ****** and shoot the prick in the village square. THAT's incentive !!

I feel self righteous in my outrage at your calousness.

Metallurgy is a science. Chinese metallurgy is only as foul as the spec they're given. Its no different than asking for a paint job, if you don't specify a color, don't complain about the result.

The Chinese have gained a reputation in making -poor quality. Much like Japan was noted for many years ago. -It drags down all of what they make.-
Whether it is true or not -it will take time for that reputation to change. And if a small percentage of what they make remains poor quality it will slow any change in consumers minds.

Most of us older folks remember what "Made in Japan" used to mean. It took several generations and a lot of great products for it to change.

Chinese metallurgy is foul.

I agree but your statment is short.
Their is a huge amount of scrap metal that goes to China to make stuff from. Scrap has a mix of many things that cannot be removed in practical ways so they remain in the mix.
Being a -sort of- machinist I have run into really crappy steel (for example). Virgin metal (no matter the grade) is consistant and a breeze to machine. Hard spots can kill a part being machined and can't be easily predicted.
I expect you--BC- can tell of finishes -in what you do- that are spoiled by inpurities.

Absolutely. The blade i hav been working on and posting pix of recently has some air in casting. Break open pinholes during all the filing, block sanding & even the cut polishing.

There should be no misunderstanding of the grade of metal required for load beang parts......no cop outs.
