Cool car...
Love the MoPar-bodied cars, in Pro-mod
Love Pro-mods & Vipers too
almost everyone (even brand X today) runs Hemi's now
all with some sort of power adders,
N2O, Procharger/centrifugal, Roots Blown, Turbos, Methanol/Nitro etc.
Disclaimer;
please, don't get what I'm about to say wrong;
not to rain on anyones' parade
a lil history & facts
not to be overly critical or too ****
a lil' context
that car would NOT qualify you in any NHRA Pro-mod field today
they run 5.70-5.80's @ 250+ in the 1/4 mile @ IIRC 2650#s/526cid limit (blown)
big cid 900+ w/N2O, & some/most will/would be capable run 3.60's to 3.90's
(4.0 all day) 1/8 mile @ 200+
an 1/8 mile 4.15 (x 1.57) is like 6.51 in the 1/4
wouldn't qualify
I do understand that's not the best track/or conditions either
it may run a lot faster at sea level & a better track
don't get me wrong, that's still an impressive #
& a very cool racecar
it's far faster than anything I own/owned 'now'
or will ever own again, probably
--------------------------------------------------------
remember Big Chief (Sean (spell ?) from Street Outlaws,
White CrowMod
IIRC he ran 6.10's in 1/4 & 4.00-ish 190-200-ish in the 1/8
& he couldn't qualify for P/M a few years back
almost all the No-Prep guys are running near/at 4.0-4.40s
a few a lil' faster, dipping into the 3's (maybe hi-3.80's like Ryan Martin)
---------------------------------------------------------
Hell, I ran a best of 4.26 @ 180-ish in the 1/8, way back in 1997,
540cid 3 kits of N2O, in an 87 TransAm (an NHRA legal T/S car)
(later an 89 Camaro IROC (I know), but with a Milodon Blown Hemi
Outlaw/80#'s less ballast @ 2570#s)
I couldn't qualify for/in Pro-Mod
way before double frame rails & everyone running 35" TA/FC tire,
custom 10"+ ring gears etc
& ran 6.69 @ 217 in the 1/4
in 'Calif. Outlaw P/S/Blown Doorslammers' event, at Sears Point
My last altered would do it easily, all day long
but that's a lighter & different animal 'altogether'
