So, I was planning on installing the original style radio. As I am cleaning it up, I noticed that the jam nuts are missing. I looked all over...no dice. Picked some up at local hardware store...wrong thread. Damn. Anybody know where I can get some ? I have been surfing the internet to no avail.

Not sure which nuts you are talking about, but if you mean the ones under the knobs, you are going to check in electronics stores. The nuts are commonly used on switches and controls and usually can be purchased separately. Measure the threaded barrel for the dia (probably 5/8") and a special thread pitch (maybe 20 or 24). Calipers and a thread pitch gauge are your friends, Top...
