I agree. But vehicle design has been declining for decades. It turns out efficiency is not very eye appealing. Aerodynamics suggests that "Egg shape" is the most efficient design to cut thru air. That's not a lot work with for curb appeal.

It's all about control of your life and where you go. And anyone that has 4 children does not take the health of this earth we live on seriously. Increasing population is the true biggest threat to our human existence. China has access to the majority of the world's raw materials to make batteries.....

Cojo, I repeat, where do the electrons come from? How does the grid, including power plants get upgraded? China is currently controlling much of what could make widespread EV possible. We currently don't have the politicians that can support that type of technical transformation.

Yes cold weather, it drains EV Batteries quickly to run the heater. Remember Texas power outages in the cold last year? And with all the threads on the cold and Snow this week should open your eyes. It’s still going to snow in 10 years. LOL.

Funny. "Money trail?" EV is not 100% efficient or environmentally non impactful. No such thing. They are just better. EV is no where close to fossil fuel industry on "Money trail." I would pick a different talking point? Like Lithium mining damage? That is a real concern.

I'm not sure why Chrysler hasn't explored a hemi hybrid? Ferrari did with their 296 GBT hybrid? The fastest and most advanced Ferrari ever built.

How much fuel does each ship burn on the trip?

I'm not sure how or where to reply? You made accusations of other people. I have 4 kids. Of that age. And I know no kid that wants to live with parents? And no idea who "They" are? But as far as power grid? It is true that the current grid is not able to accommodate a complete replacement of gas vehicles with EV. Certainly not during peak hours. But you are referring to a sudden replacement. It's going to take time. Time that will allow for upgrades to the grid. (That the infrastructure bill is addressing.) Let alone the impact residential solar electric generation will have on energy supply/demand.

We are in exciting times. If we can get this freaking pandemic under control? ALL technology changes in history had naysayers. But I think we need that? We need points of view to debate and refine efforts to be even more productive. Another words? It's all good.

Sure glad Henry Ford ignored the naysayers? Transportation would be even farther behind. Keep in mind. Internal combustion engines barely survived the electric motor technology race over 100 years ago. Just wonder where we would be had hybrids been sought that long ago? Trains have been hybrids for past 60 years. Couldn't do the job without.
