Cars like this are a financial loser. Considering that you will drop at least 30 large into a 318 car that will be worth maybe 25 at best, $9,500.00 is too much to pay.

In my opinion, that car is not not worth the price of murder but it's your money and your time in jail.

I've seen a lot worse sell for a lot more.

It does look like most all of the major components are there. If you know how to use a welder and can do most all of the work yourself, it may not be a bad deal.

Definately worth a good looking over in person before you lay any cash out.....

I Know it will never be worth what a 440-6 Dana 60 would be Worth, But I love 70 Chargers and this one looked pretty complete.

You may want to see what it would take to title it.
Any 68, 69 or 70 charger is a find under 10k if complete in my book.

A little high and depending on floor and trunk pans.
Agree. If the trunk and floor pans need replacing, it's a deal breaker for me. If they are in decent shape it might be a good driver for somebody. A little bondo and a MAACO paint job, get it running, fine. A total resto is not a good idea, car isn't rare or desirable enough.

this is new york,it looks really good for ny car and would be a great driver car.
pricewise,id hit him at 6500 then bounce back to 8k slowly.

bets part is,its only a 318 car,so no matter what you do,
you are improving its value And you get to drive a charger.

also, this being new york, the cutoff date for Titles is 1972,
so just a bill of sale will suffice.

go to the 70 charger registry, a lot of good information about those cars there. you can decode the fender tag there, The BL1 color I believe is kind of a rare color.

Unmolested is a big plus.
Being from the salt belt I'd be more concerned with the frame rails than the floors and trunk pan.
Dicky and Ricky both make excellent points.
I'm DIY on cars so the price wouldn't be bad if it is solid underneath and the top is good.
Watch the roof line. I hate vinyl tops for that reason.
A title isn't a problem in where I live.
But I'm thinking PA is a problem state?

he can have one of his mopar buddies that lives in Ny use a bill of sale and then turn it in and get a ny title back.....
and then simply sign it and send it to him in pa.
problem solved.

Yea PA is a "Must Have Title" State so I would need one it is some work and pricey but at least it is possible. For the right car I wouldn't mind the effort.

If the current owner has a registration, a pencil tracing of the VIN and a bill of sale will satisfy the DMV in Harrisburg.

The car doesn't look too bad from the pictures given, I don't think it's a $10,000 car but it's nice enough. If the car doesn't have too many trouble spots and was in good enough shape to be driven; I'd probably offer about $7,500 as a fair price.

However, the no title is another issue. It's still worth checking into, a simple visit to the state police or DMV to run the vin# to check and see if it's been reported stolen or has anything on the title; is a pretty good idea.

Not very many cars are gonna cash flow on a full resto but if you have always wanted one why not go for it??
