Hello all. I just purchased a new challenger the other day, so my 73 charger is finally going to take a backseat and just be a fun car, not my everyday driver. I was looking around for insurances but am having a really hard time finding a company that will insure it without having it in a garage... Does anybody on here recommend any insurance companys that do not require it to be garage kept? Thanks

Mark

I use HAGERTY.They are a classic car ins. company. Not sure what their stipulations are on garaging. I have 2 vehicles through them, but both are garaged.

I've used them too, and Grundy......just get an agent and describe your use pattern, but be honest. The issue with agreed value insurance is the limitations on the policy.

X2 on Hagerty. No garage might affect the agreed-on value, but they should have no problem covering it.

Hagerty's website says that the "insured collector vehicle must be stored in an enclosed, secured structure". It goes on to describe the garage/structure. I don't know of any specialty (classic car) insurers that don't require garaging the vehicle, but their policies vary from state to state. You might be stuck getting regular insurance unless you can arrange inside storage.
