As I was backing down the driveway in my '68 Charger a little while back, I heard a grinding sound coming from the front wheel. I popped the drum off and found that the head of one of the lug studs had broken off, which I thought was pretty weird. After a short time of unsuccessfuly searching for a new hub, my wife said I might as well upgrade to disc brakes. I ordered this Classic Performance disc brake kit from Summit for $458.99 https://www.summitracing.com/parts/clp-6374swbk-s/make/dodge/model/charger/year/1968
It was a pretty quick and easy job and everything fit great with no issues. It uses '76-'79 F-body pads, rotors and calipers, so I can get replacement parts at They even clear my old 14" aluminum slots, so it was nice not to have to get new wheels and tires right away. After a few weeks of driving, they're still stopping great and are a big improvement over the old drums.
