Cleaning Tires

After using tire dressing (all brands) and getting build-up sticky and browning, what are you using to CLEAN the rubber that won't harm aluminum rims ??

I'm a fan of bleach white, but keep it off the wheels !!

If it's hurting the aluminum just enagine what it is doing to the rubber.

simple green 50/50 with water and a good scrub brush...NO dressing

I have NOT cleaned aluminum rims with it; but i wouldn't see why not.

if somebody has had any experience with it, i'm sure they will chime in.

I read in a few motorcycle mags that simple green is harsh to aluminum,but I would guess that would be full strength.Too chicken to try...
