So, what you're saying is the tip is broken at the end? Not sure exactly what you mean?

I can take a picture of it and send it to you, it is not straight across the end, it looks like it has a nick out of it. Its not where it makes contact its out on the tip/end of the spring.
I'll take a pick tonight when I get home and send it your way.
