so had my 65 out yesterday, hot day 90 plus, after a few hard runs pulled into driveway, shut her off, a few seconds later, spit out the overflow hose, first time it ever did that, not much, but enough to make a little mess. anyone got pics, or know of a factory setup for a overflow container on 65 belvedere?

It's called the ground. Don't top it up and it probably won't burp again. Don't need one. Did not come with one.

what I noticed runs at about 185 190 most of the time, even in the heat. will creep up if im in traffic. problem happens after shut down, temp will rise because no airflow, and no circulation, doesn't happen often, just don't want the mess!

I have one on my 65 Belvedere. Ordered it from Jegs. Is it necessary? No. My 72 440 Dart just dumps to the asphalt. The coolant level in your radiator should be an inch from the top when cold.

There is usually 2 inches from top in the Coronet. If it continues to burp after shut off, there is another reason besides level.

i use an aftermarket plastic container with a wire type basket to hold it on my 65 coronet. i think i got it at advance auto; made by Interdynamics. anyhow, it fits and works perfect. mounted it on the outer left side of the core support. painted it flat black so it wouldn't show thru the grill. be sure to use the correct cap for an overflow.

I put one on the 64 just behind the left headlamp.

here's my 65 satellite with the original over flow bottle. it's mounted on the rt. side firewall 001.JPG002.JPG003.JPG

wow, never seen one like that!all the on the back firewall! overflow comes in thru the bottom! is that exclusive to the poly motor? finding one like that would be a real needle in a haystack!any body got one?

Here's my 65 Satellite...it has a Natural Curve so i thought that would be the perfect spot !! I'm just holding it there for the Pic.

You can find them and make them nice but why? Not factory? Not needed. Mine has not burped for years. No tank.
