Wow thats a shame. I wonder what the background is on that car. Looks like it was nice

Wow what a shame, no clue what it's worth now

what's a 70 Charger front clip worth now, that's about what I'd bid...

A New York and Florida bidder battled it out to the end. Personally..... I don't know where the H they are going money wise on that thing.

I don't think that there were too many FM3 70 Charger R/Ts made. I only recall seeing 2 in the last 20 years. One is a meticulous restoration located in Northern CA.

Wouldn't be worth the fuel/time to haul it.
well lets put it this way.... 2 guys really wanted it... plus buy fee/internet fee/gate fee/hauling. This will be over 4K..............

there was no fender tag so a real FM3................. ????????????

There is a fender tag. Real FM3 car. Was originally a sunroof car to boot. I hope someone has deep enough pockets to do this one right.

Can you say re-body? That burned metal has no integrity left in it.

A guy would have to acid dip the whole body, and hope it still looks like a charger when the job was done.

i vaguely recall a 69 superbee? six pack car that was burned worse than this,
and got rebodied.
looks mint now.
and it was a green car,not even a rare pink.
plus the sunroof being factory,Nice!

This has been a topic over on DC. I was "hands on".... sunroof my azzzzz. (look at the 3rd pic) Its also a Wi -Junk Bill of Sale - the VIN is dead. I've seen a comment that after seven years blah blah blah.... as a licensed dealer for over 30 years never heard of that. But BIGS is just a ol' guy WTF do I know.....

I agree with BIGSHCLUNK - the current pictures of the car show a top without a sunroof opening. Ok - let me expand on this just a bit - the fender tag that belongs to the VIN posted on the coparts web site is coded for a sunroof. Now a lot of things could of happened in the 45 years since this car left the line. It's possible that many years ago - this car was a basket case with the sunroof or entire roof so badly rusted that they decided to forego putting the sunroof back in (very expensive and very hard to find parts). So a regular roof went on instead. Another possibility - There is an urban legend out there of a 1970 FM3 Charger that was ordered with the sunroof - and when the owner found out that it was going to take an additional 2 to 4 weeks to install the sunroof - he said forget it and wanted the car ASAP. So - it would have been coded initially but never installed. Then there is the 3rd - not so pretty option - this car could have been the victim of greed many moons ago - and there was a re-body in its past. Once again - the fender tag that belongs to that VIN is coded for a sunroof.
