Coronet R/T, 500 back up lens

Can any one tell me if this is a mid year change or what, I purchased a pair of 500 tail lamps and the back up lens is flush with the red lens. I looked at a friends coronet r/t and his is raised slightly. Mine have the penta star one them I do not think that they are after market, can any one shed some light on this no pun intended.

in 1969 that is true. they had flush and protruding BU lenses that year. I am not sure when started and stopped, if you are reffering to a 1969!

The flat are the early ones. I believe they are also the two bulb lights not the three bulb lights.

Yes this is a 69 the lamps have 3 openings total 2 for tail/stop 3rd for b/u is this what you are referring to or do you mean that they made a lamp that had only 2 total openings 1 for tail/stop and one for b/u.
