I'm trying to get a fan and shroud for my 73 charger, but I'm not sure of the correct size. I have a 318/904 combo. It has a 26" radiator bit there is no fender tag code for max cooling. Everything I'm finding shows all cars that were not max cooling has a 22 1/4 in radiator. I'm stuck. The shroud I think fits my radiator has a 20.25 in fan opening. So should I go with a 18 1/2 inch fan or a 20 inch fan? I'm also in Texas. Car has ac as well but not hooked up. Had flex fan when bought and Dont want to go back with that

Both my 71 Satellite and 71 parts car came with 26" radiator. Both shrouds were the same size, a little over 20" opening. The fan has about 3/8" clearance. Both cars are a/c cars, 318's and 904,for what its worth to you. Ron.

On my 72 Coronet with 318 and 26 inch shroud FSM says
Diameter / Number of blades / width
Standard 18" 7 2"
Auto 18" 7 2"
A/C 18" 7 2 1/4
High Cap. 18" 7 2 1/4

If you have a salvage yard anywhere near you, most any SB 318/340/360 equipped A or B body or pickup will have a shroud and fan that will fit your model. Most slant-6's will also have the same shroud/fan size, if it has A/C. Finding a solid fan in such a place won't be as easy, but any centrifugal fan can be made 'solid' with a couple judicious spot-welds. FWIW... good luck P.S., next option is to check the aftermarket catalogues, which carry electric fan options which can be fairly easily wired up, eliminating the need for having a fan bolted onto the front of the water pump. Just a thought...
