Cowboy stuff for non-cowboys.

Driving through the Midwest, you'll sometimes see real cowboys. They're the 15-18 year-old kids wearing a Future Farmers of America blue jacket or a letterman's jacket with a rodeo sports patch. Their jeans are about 4" too long in the inseam, which makes them very high-waisted. Plus a big assed belt buckle. Sometimes the jeans are tucked in to just the inside half of the boot. Hats and boots are well-worn. They aren't working large spreads as much as cattleyards. They're still using horses though. Trust me, you'll know one when you pass one from the smell. Places like Dodge City, KS, are huge meat-processing towns. They're being taken over by Mexican immigrants now.
