Cowell Vent Covers

My windshield wipers broke, and I believe that I need to remove these to begin the repair process. Mine are in pretty good shape so I would like to do this properly to give them every chance to survive! What is the proper way to remove them? Thank you!

These snap on and slide into slots. There is some play on these so it's not that hard to get them off. Passenger side has 4 or 5 slots and driver side has 6 slots. If you take a screw driver and gently slide underneath on one of the corners and lift, you will be able to see how they are attached to the cowl.
