The clutch pedal feels sluggish and is creaking bad, gets worse With heat and have over time become more tangible.

I was under the car and a friend was working the clutch pedal.
I hear a bad creaking from bellhousing and i can feel it with my fingers on the fork.
I have drowned the fork in 3 different lubes, no change.
The Z-bar is rebuilt and works smooth and quiet.
Pedal and returnspring is Also quiet
The fork looks original.
What else could give This creaking and inconvenient feeling?
Its so bad its hard to smoothly engage the cluth,
Anyone experienced this?

Thanks

Before you rip and tear, you might check to make sure the fork is attached to the release bearing correctly. Both fork tips should be on the pads with the retainer springs holding both together. If one side of the fork is off the pad, you'll surely feel it in the pedal. A weak/broke/improperly installed retainer spring or even a bent/broken pivot may cause this.

If it's a B&B PP, make sure the release bearing is hitting all three fingers at the same time.
