Hey everyone! Finally got my car prepped and out for its first cruise and car show since getting it repainted (the color is destroyer grey). After having it in the garage since June, I was a little hesitant to take it out, worried about rock chips and waiting for the paint to fully cure. But last weekend, I decided it was time!
Spent a good amount of time getting the car ready. Did a full wash, inside and out, and then took it over to a local elementary parking lot with some nice lighting for a little night photo shoot. The car looked amazing, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! There are a few minor changes I’d like to make, but overall, I’m thrilled with how it turned out.
Before the big day, I double-checked all fluids, looked for leaks, made sure everything was running smoothly without any EFI issues, and fixed a few lingering problems like an exhaust knock and slight rubbing from the front tires. Topped it off with a full tank the night before, and I was ready to go.
The morning of the show, I started it up around 8:30, let it idle, and everything was in top shape. Made the 25-minute drive over, and by the time I arrived, the place was packed! Even though I parked in the visitor section, the car drew a ton of attention while I was pulling in, which was awesome. Got a lot of compliments and people taking pictures which made the day even better.
I didn’t get many pictures at the show unfortunately. The event was the second annual Cartoberfest show in Cedar Park, Texas, and it was a blast.
Just wanted to share my experience and a few pics with you all!
