crush washer or not.

Just got my brake caliper,with new pis,in the bag there is 2 copper washers,are they crush washers for the brake hose,the thing that get me my new hose has no crush washer in the bag.When removeing the hose from the old caliper there indeed was a crush washer.

Some hose ends will bottom out without them. Use them!

"Most" new calipers and hoses will have seating rings cast into them. The soft copper will seat into those rings if you will. If you don't use them, most likely the hose will not seat properly, and will seep.

Sometimes they leak even WITH them. The problem is that the new washers are often thinner than what was used when our cars were new. Rick Ehrenberg from Mopar Action sells OEM washers on ebay.

OK I figured as much,do I use the 2 or just 1.I have all the front parts painted,and the lower control arms now have the plates welded on,very close to getting it all back together,just have find a shop to put in the upper arms bushing and ball joint.Thanks again for the help.

Banjo bolt, crush washer, brake line, crush washer, tighten the snot out of it. All in that order.
