So I'm sittin here readin online when I just happen to glance out the window and see this crap! Who the hell is this high up in the mountains this time of year and careless to do this, on the left side?? Bastards!

With the amount of snow up there now, it'd better not! The fire is now out, I wonder if they'll burn again tomorrow?

Look again at the pics, it's below the snow line in a valley, go to CalFire's site. They mentioned it.
That shot is looking from about 40 miles away around Donner area..

I'm looking at the East slope of the Sierra's from the NV. side of the line. That is lookin towards Sac. If I do a right face! I can almost piss over the line, 395 & the line is where I'm at. It's nice to shoot at CA. from the NV. side!

He and I are situated in the Bordertown area. We are right next to the Cal/Nv state line. Those mountains that are in his pic are the Eastern slop of the Sierra's that end at the Great Basin where we live. Google maps can show you just how close to CA I am... cr8crshr/Bill

Doing a burn again today. I should've put 2+2 together yesterday! Most wildfire smoke is greyish to black, this is pure white smoke, guess that makes a difference?

When you see **** burning that close all you think about is what you might need to do, not "Oh, that's just a controlled burn".

Where they're burning is a good 20+ miles from here.
