Ok, our sure grip on our 489 rear end is toast. My son has located a couple of Dana 60's from 1974 D-100 and D-200. We will need to check these out to be sure they are Dana's. I am way out of my league here, but can we put one of these on our 69 RR? I would surely think the gear ratio would not be compatible. Any help is appreciated.

You can, but you're gonna have to check the width, possibly change the brakes, and add spring perches. The truck units were under the springs, while cars were on top. Also the truck dana will not have any accommodation for a pinion snubber

Certainly cheaper. If you really want a Dana 60, they are available new and turn key
