Perfect fit, will be filled with liquid plastic and section at a time til
completely covered. I'll cut the mold to fit on the end of the hole.

Dang, I'd love too! I just don't have that kinda money! :sad10:

I could properly re-pop them for $350-550 each?

I would buy 2 sets one for a ply and one for a dodge.

I would like to get a set to use for molds. I really want to do the elastomeric front bumper eyebrow too. I have been repairing bumper gaurds and some of them were pretty far gone. So if someone has a damaged eyebrow for a 71 plymouth and would like it fixed for free. I would do that if I can use your piece after I repair it for a mold. I've been tossing this around in my head fors sometime now. I just got done repairing a set of rear 72 Sebring bumper gaurds. I will post some pics tomorrow. Didnt mean to hijak.

Keep this thread going I want to see the finished product. I have the standard gauges in my RR and would like to get some custom ideas.

Hey, thanks magnum gt...I looked threw this post and seen the non rally dash insert and that is what I was thinking about for a flat section on the dash,,I have the rally dash and wanted to do something different and had bought a nordic flat digital six gauge some time ago for my wagon and havn't used it yet, thought it would be cool to use it in my roadrunner instead. So yesterday I went to the salvage yard and got one out of a satilite that was perfect,,just dirty.

I have restored a few 71-4 b body clusters. Over a number of years I tried to reprouduce the chrome paint. I got real close to getting the chrome sheen that I wanted. The problem is that it was not cheap so I gave up. I have some pics I will post when I find them. Then I was going to get some Alsa chrome FX. But that is not good for precision (sp) jobs like that. Eastwood also sells a product that works ok and can be applied with an air brush. The problem there is so much masking involved. You have to mask to spray the brown and black for the wood grain, mask again to spray the black around the gauge holes and mask again to do the chrome. Looks good when finished but once again the luster is lacking just a little. I think I'm going to give bare metal a try. Have you ever tried to do a long peice where you would have to butt two edges together? If so how do you cut it. Do you think over lapping and double cutting in an attempt to hide the seam would work or is this stuff too sticky? This is a great thread, Thanks and keep us posted. Take Care!

I did try butting two pieces together, you can see the seam. :( So use it only where you use one piece?! My thought anyway, my skill level using the stuff so far? Have you posted your dash builds? If so, post links! :) Thanks

I have some pics on a crashed hard drive that my nephew is trying to recover. I did post a pic here awhile back, Ill see if I can locate that post.
How sticky is the backing? Im thinking I can double cut it like you would double cut wallpaper. That can be done without the seam showing. The sheets they sell are not big enough to go all the way around the cluster and the woodgrain insert on the right side of the dash.

I found some.bezel 1.jpgnos radio delete.JPGbezel and tach.jpgrestored bezel.jpg The delete one is NOS. The others are a couple that I did for customers. One or two might not be finished in thes pics.
My latest one has NOS speedo, all nos gauges, Nos switches, NOS heater control, new blue filters, new lenses, and new gaskets. I still have to restore the bezel for this one.

View attachment 109052restored bezel with tach.JPGView attachment 109054 The delete bezel is an NOS piece. It needs some chrome touch up on the bottom edge. I put the pics up twice to make them a little larger. The click to enlarge doesnt work because I got them from another site I belong to. Let me know what you guys think good or bad. Thanks!

I ahve a ralley bezel that needs repaired. Its been cut out and Id like to take it back stock. Can either of you PM me a quote?

Pictures? This is the perfect time if you want the stock radio bezel, I can take a mold from the good one I have before covering it.

Great looking work! I tried out the bare-metal on one of the gauge rims and it looks fantastic. To bad I have to now take it back off to work on it?! :p

I have to ask do you have any pics yet of the rallye dash will look like . I have always wondered why no onne until now is finally doing stuff for the 71 -74 chargers and i really hope that there is more upcoming parts for your ride . us MOPAR people have to stick together .I have been told for years why dodge ? My answer is anybody can build and drive a Camaro or a Stang ,BUT in my mind it takes a real man to build and drive MOPARS .... sorry for the long post ....johnny/ red340bbody:headbang:
