I've been using Herb's interior colors. Used as directed, it goes on very good and does not affect the grain pattern. Good stuff!

My local paint supply mixes dyes and interior paint for spray-cans [any shade or sheen]. They have the cleaner and adhesion-promoter, as well.

I have dyed a steering wheel in my 67 Coronet 500 in Medium Copper as well as some used door panels, and other stuff on the interior of this car. All came out great. What impresses me most is so far there is no indication of wear or discoloration on the steering wheel. I highly recommend Herb's interior dye.

I think I would have a problem with any paint (dye) on a seat. I can't say I've ever tried it or seen it done but I just don't think it would hold up.....just my 2 cents.

This IS most encouraging as I was thinking of dying the modified leather console I installed wondering about wear off. If your steering wheel has stayed nice can't think of anything that would get more wear than this!

Just used Herbs dark green on some headrest, turned out great! Just remember to clean it good and use light coats, don't get in a hurry. Most important is prep!

Herb's dyes is just what I need! So many of my panels are to the point of turning to chalky dust. A couple coats of this will put and end to it I hope.

I did my sun visors a while back and they came out great other than the red being a bit too bright red. Did this before coming across Herb's product recommended by forum members as posted here. Bought some Herb's to redo them and to do my console. I think it's been advised to be careful with prepping especially if the surface is messed up tears, cracks, bubbles, etc. I think there's some prep products also from Herb at least for some surfaces? Might be thinking of plastics.

I ended up painting my console with Herb's, not a dye, so far I'm happy wit the result. I posted some photos on the garage forum. The console was initially deep-red/maroon and the paint created a closer match to the interior. It was a hassle painting it due to my limitations with the set up for doing the painting in a ventilated area that ended up being my deck semi-confined using large pieces of cardboard to create a booth on a warm enough day. The advice posted is yep...several light coats to obtain the desired coating. Having done some testing earlier, I find ya never want the paint job to come in contact with any nasty liquids containing alcohol or aggressive degreasers/cleaners. My testing found it will remove the paint even after it's cured...
