David Freiburger Barn find 70 Bee.

The part that annoys me is I believe the seller reached out to him, he didn’t hunt for it, at that point it’s a celeb thing so my budget may not matter. But at the end of the day I won’t hate the player I’ll hate the game.

Yup. Once you are known the deals find you.

Was honestly way more interested in that '57 or the '67 RT coronet... didn't get to see them though... not a fan of that superbee body at all...

I remember when they came out in 70 thought they were the ugliest car made since the Edsel. They've grown on me like 62 b bodies.

I actually much prefer edsels to 68-72 b-bodies :) My first car was a '67 coronet, i will always love them..

You know he had one as a teen.

He still has it.. As a matter of fact they had a coronet they bought from a movie studio, the cloned it into a bee just to wreck it. They used his high school Bee in a movie. His dad had something to do with the movies transportation department.

I must be CHEAP in how I look at things.
$3500 for the engine and transmission and other stuff didn't seem what I'd call cheap. I may be way out of touch though, It seemed like a fair market deal.
I do wonder though....the guy supposedly has cars, trucks and other stuff stashed all over the place but lives in a house with no garage/shop to work on anything? All the work he did on the magazines and TV shows, hosting events and all that and still no house with a shop?

He never mentioned what he paid, did he?

Sorry, but it's nobody's business, other than the sellers, what I paid for a car !

Why not? He made it everyone's business by broadcasting that he bought it. He mentioned how much he paid for the engine/trans/parts.
How are others supposed to get a fair baseline for what to pay for a project car if people buy stuff like this and then clam up about the price?
