daylight savings time

One of the many advantages of living a life of retirement is never having to adapt to an absurd sixty-minute change in a daily routine just because.
Consider those that live near the equator and those that live near the poles. How do they deal with the annual changing of clocks?

DST = warm weather, NO LONG JOHNS and more important.........

Nice "scenery"

Absolutely. I sleep past sunrise but LOVE more afternoon and early evening light.

Messing with clock messes with my clock, I don’t deal with changes like that well, it’s like when I went to Hawaii, jet lag about killed me for several days coming from the mid west. It sucks ball sack as my 10 year old said recently to his older brothers. He wasn’t aware I was within earshot and I was shocked but laughed.

My neighbors are Poles and I have Italians on the other side of me....If I walk 34 feet past their house what time is it?

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again.
This daylight saving time is directly responsible for the planet warming up.
You can’t add an hour of sunshine to every day, and not expect the planet to warm up.
Simple science.

I have to agree with that but the Polish make some great dishes too:thumbsup:

I went out today in my -17 ram power wagon- and was met with the trauma of confusion when the clock said 11:00 am or so and I knew better cause I pay attention to the important stuff.
I was clearly informed that the changing of time would happen at 2 am. (The time zone used for the 2 am change is only one issue I am dealing with).
So -gathering my wits to maintain control- I started to consider taking my truck to the dealership for a recalibration of the clock.- I continued with my shopping agenda and upon returning to my vehicle was blessed with an apparent automatic time correction of the clock. - A full nine hours late PST.
That was a huge relief but still left me with confusion about why my truck did not show the right time at the right time. I have some residual stress about this because my vehicle is out of warranty.
If I were to move to Arizona (for example) with this truck what would that do to the clock??:steering:

I've seen this with cell phones before.

I have a thirty-year-old cheap clock radio that auto-corrects for time changes and only gets power from 110 ac. I have never set the time for this clock

I fight my daily battles. Doing so with a smile is required.
