While to some extent I agree with you, their styling wasn't as reminiscent of the performance era that preceded them, I have to question whether you are old enough to even remember the cars of that time period. Compared to the Magnum and the Chrysler 300 (Cordoba's), everything else being built and sold at that time looked like absolute crap. Not just Chrysler, but all cars at the time were junk and the styling (if you can call it that) was rapidly becoming European and generic.

At least in my opinion (and that doesn't count for very much) the Magnum's and 300's were great looking and performing cars considering the domestic competition available at the time.
