69 440 built 9/9/1968 second shift. The numbers on the pan rail is the partial VIN #. It's a non HP application.
 
Thank you now makes sense. This was in my dads 1969 Chrysler Imperial, I also have the trans. does the random looks like a P and B or R mean something.

Yes, they indicate things about the original engine build. Maybe someone else will reply as I don't remember right now. I believe they are mentioned in the 69 service manual in the engine section.
