Dentists, they get ya , lmao

I didn't take care of my teeth as well as I should have when I was younger. I'm paying for it now along with something in my my DNA that produces to much scale. I get cleanings 3 times a year and deep scaling once or twice a year. The scaling is medieval, they slice your gum pull it back and scrape. Then stich you up.
But I still have my teeth so I'm OK with it
I also am sedated for all of this the only thing I lose is a day

Have you thought about implants?
I did check into that with my dentist, but last year I had a few pulled and went with a partial plate. It has fit great , no adhesive needed ect.
Just my luck though I had a couple of my teeth act up.
At this point dollar for dollar since I have the plate, the root canals are they best way for me.
Thanks though for bringing that up.

I have had two, first one was done on Friday, about 7 that nite it got to pounding, every time my heart beat the jaw felt like it was coming out. This went on all nite til 5 next morning till I got ahold of the office. She said get here quick it was absessed. Once he released the pac all was well,, plus the Vicoten. Never had anything hurt so bad and I can take pain

I’ve had my share of work on my teeth. Several root canals - make that 4. I had gold crowns put on the two lower very back molars and then a couple of side molars where I had porcelain crowns put on. One of the left side molars cracked on me and my doc said no options but to pull it out. He sent me to maxialfacial specialist - how does that sound for expensive? He pulled the tooth which apparently had been bad for awhile and was decayed inside - it just broke up when it came out. I had three options 1) Pull and leave it empty. 2) Get a bridge 3) Have an implant put in. Well I’m determined to meet St Peter with a full mouth full of pearlies - even if they’re not all real. I took the implant option - One full year from pulling the tooth, adding some cadaver bone to my jawbone just to ensure it’s strong as can be. Then putting the pins in and letting them merge with my jawbone - then the final final was my dentist putting in the actual tooth. I had a nice white porcelain tooth installed. No pain to any part of the process - except when it came to pulling out my wallet. The whole nine yards cost $5,000. Insurance paid 50% and I paid the rest. My sister had the same deal happen to her and she chose to leave it blank. Every time she smiles and shows that big side gap I think to myself that was best $5k ever spent. My mom passed at 87 and had every single one of her original teeth in her mouth - and she was damn proud of it.
