How hard would it be to convert a 1968 Charger fender into a 1969 fender?
Are the two fenders exactly the same except for the side marker holes?

Just wondering if I could buy 68 fenders (cheap) and cut out the side markers out of my rusty 69 fenders, and graft them into the 68 fenders?

If the fenders ARE identical except for the side marker holes then this should work right?

The markers should be the only difference.

yup my 69 charger 500 had 68 fenders and doors on it when i bought

I have done this except using a 69 fender for a 68 charger. There is one other slight difference, the corner bracket from the inner fender to upper rad support is different. The 69 has the bracket as a part of the fender and the 68 has the bracket spot welded to the inner fender and upper rad support. You will need to save the bracket from your original fender and attach it to the 68 fender. a101_0248.jpga101_0249.jpg
