found a few color slides the other day and had some of them blown up. there is one of a maroon 65 dodge cornett with Dictator II on the side of the car, driver was Stanley Howard, and the sponsor was Deercreek auto parts in Williamsport Ohio. car was running ss/aa in 1966. does the car still exist? does Stanley still exist? it was a hemi car. he had two other nice fellows with him with two maxies, one was a 63 plymouth and the other was a 64 dodge, both white, neither was lettered. they invited this 14 yr old kid to go eat with them, dad said ok and off we went, (different times) Thanks for the memories if any of ya'll are out there. pictures were taken in owensboro ky, at a motel they were at. I have never seen a picture of this car any where else and just got to wondering. pw Dave

I don't know where the slot is to load that color slide in the computer, ?? The only thing I can do is take a picture of the picture and then try to get it on the computer and then get someone to transfer it to this forum?? yea right, I can barely navigate this site, I'm the one with callouses on my hands!! not to be a smarty pants but this is about all i'm capable of. Dave

Try your local walmart or target. They can change your slides to photos or digital images. You can run your photo through a scanner too and download it as a digital pic.

Cool Rides

love the GTX too

1st I've seen of the Dictator II
if was a real SS/AA Hemi car from Dodge {A990},
there should be a way to trace it, there was only like
IIRC 50 something produced for "factory backed Drag racers" &
only a few for independents, very few..
I looked on Google too, didn't find anything...

maybe try over at www.1962to1965mopar.ornocar.com site

Do not know about that, only that it was a hemi car, the name of the car suggests that maybe he ran a previous dictator car, at 14 I didn't know what to look for or that there was any difference in the factory race cars from the street cars other than the motor, looking closely at the rear wheels it looks like they have been moved the class legal 2%, about 2 and 3/8 inches, which would at least on the outside suggest a factory car. Dave.

After looking at the other two cars in the post, I am pretty sure the color me gone car is the real deal, I am 100% sure of the silver plymouth of being a factory race car, it had all of the aluminium parts and the half guage window glass, the owner was a fellow named Paul lance, he also had a 66 HP1 car that ma mopar had given him, but I don't think he was a factory sponsered driver, one of those few you were talking about. the drivers name on the red dodge is Stanley Howard

There is a listing for Deer Creek Auto Parts, in Ohio. Their site says they've been in business since 1950. Might be worth a call...
