Direct Connection aluminum finned valve covers?

Can't beat the polished fab cover for a little bling.

I gave this a bunch of research and studying before even seeing this thread. First, these were never made for a Big Block, only chromed stamped with Direct Connection. I'm planning to buy a set of MOPAR Performance covers, put them on the mill and remove the MOPAR Performance. Then order a pair of Direct Connection logos cut from aluminium flat stock with a Water Jet. Polish the tops and paint the sides black and them glue these down with epoxy or urethane glue. no hotter than a valve cover gets I don't think it has to be welded.

Cal Custom and Ansen sold cast finned valve covers with a blank spot in the middle and DC sold valve cover stickers you could put on them. I have a set of DC stage IV head valve cover stickers in my collection.
