Hey guys need some help. I have (well what might be) an A12 Edelbrock 70 six barrel aluminum intake matched with some late 70's direct connection carbs. 2 questions. 1st when I've always seen these intake stampings the number 6 is retardly done (saying real) then Chrysler remakes showing a clear 6 or an 8. This one is like in between the 6 doesn't close all the way around like an 8 but it doesn't have the crazy tail either. Guy who had it wasn't selling it as if it were real he said his brother had a 70 440 6 barrel but took it off because fuel was nuts in 73-74. He sold the original vacuum secondary carbs off in the late 70's and bought a set of direct connection replacement carbs at a Chrysler dealer. Well unlucky for him he died in 84 and never got to put this back on the car. Questions I have are (1) is this an actual A12 manifold, and more importantly (2) the throttle linkage for these direct connection carbs is a nightmare to find. I've seen every thread saying use an Edelbrock 2472 linkage kit...well those dont exist anymore and even Edelbrock sent me to the company that makes their linkages (out of Illinois) and even they dont have anything anymore but give me "ideas" on parts to use. Does anybody know where to possibly find a linkage kit (direct connection differs from stock by both fuel lines AND linkage is on the drivers side. If anyone can shed some light on this for me I'd appreciate it. Thanks

Yup, those are them by there looks of the fuel inlets on the opposite side. Also no vacuum pods.

I don’t know the answers to your questions but I might suggest you try the A12 forum on here. Those guys are fanatics and could probably help you out.

welcome again

like the others said try the other specific forums or
maybe even the general discussion or racers hangout forum

good luck
