I'm seeing two types of upgrade from drum kits out there. Most swap out your spindles for new ones but there's a few that don't and use the existing spindle. Is there any reason to replace them if some kits allow you to keep the stockers?

If you use the existing drum brake spindle, what do you bolt the caliper mounting brackets to?

Ok, I see how they are doing it now. I'm running Wilwood calipers but using factory parts that I know are heavy duty enough for the street for the rest. Spindles are from a 75 Dart (free, couldn't pass them up) with the late 70's cop brake rotors (11.75 inch.) Just needed to get a caliper mounting bracket made for factory spindles with Wilwood calipers from Mancini Racing.

Got ya. Can you run a 15" inch wheel or did you go larger?

Gonna go with the four piston manual Wilwoods. I know there's cheaper but quality and no spindle swap make them my choice.
