hi guys. i am looking at a set of edelbrock 5090 e-street cylinder heads on a 440 RB motor and there is an installation note about the distributor clearance when using vacuum advance. has anybody else ran into this? i would like to use the stock vacuum advance distributor. i know some of the after market heads have issues with the valve cover causing interference points with the distributor but i have never heard of the vacuum advance causing issues.

anybody have any ideas? thanks!

INSTALLATION NOTE:
Vacuum advance distributor may not clear cylinder head.

There are ways to space up the dist
using a RB in A B motor is easy
rotate the dist and rewire
never had the problem myself

I use a mopar electronic vacuum advance distributor with edelbrocks. absolutely no problems.

I think there’s an issue using the MSD ready to run dist with vac advance, search the forum it was posted recently
