Our "Camelia" is about nine years old now (has natural ears and tail).

We have had 3 Doberman's over the years. These dogs get a bad rap from TV and movies. They are a reflection of how their masters have raised them. Ours were happy, gentle dogs that were dedicated and protective of their family. They were excellent babysitters for our small children, when they were growing up. I still think about them.

I’ve had 4 Dobermans over the years. 3 females and a male. 2 black and tans and 2 red dobies. Currently I have a red female that’s 8 years old and an absolutely wonderful dog and part of the family. I had to attach a couple pics of Sydney and Snyper (I had to put Snyper down a couple years ago, he was 12). Snyper was 100 pounds of gentle authority, he and Sydney were as tight as could be. I love Dobermans.

I've had 4 Dobies, 3 males,... ( 1 fawn, 1 black and tan, 1 red,) and our most recent, a red female. Like your kids, you love them all, but I would have to say, our female, was truly something Special!......I Miss them all Dearly!

I would say that for most of the dogs that get a bad rap. The only thing I really watch out for even with the sweetest dobby/pit/whatever big dog, is they can still be a bull in a china shop and can hurt others when just trying to play. Had a bad experience with that when I was still a teen with a young big dog and a mid sized senior dog.

The most intimidating big babies. I've never owned one but i instantly bonded with each one I've ever met. The ultimate in "guard" dogs.
