The demand is clearly still there in liberal areas. I live in deep blue Montgomery county Maryland, and I just went to the Shell to buy 5 gallons of 93 Vpower Nitroplus (has no ethanol content) for the pro street car.

There was a backed up line of people in sports and muscle cars waiting to fill up.

It just occured to me. No more shutting down race tracks because of the noise. We should be able to have race tracks everywhere screw the NIMBYs.

I'm not so sure all of these restrictions will happen the way they think? I'm holding out hope that the upcoming changes will spark a change in direction, if not yes we're screwed!

And you will burn almost 3X more alky than gas to make the same power.
Then there is the diesel, nat gas and water required to make the alcohol.
Just with the diesel fuel a gallon of alcohol has fewer BTUs than diesel so you are already behind the curve.

Then consider how big would the battery need to be to power an airliner?

"the Durango, the Charger, and the Challenger are all due to be replaced in the early 2020s."

                This just plain simply sucks.
The Challenger is the best new car on sale today BAR NONE!!!

The Challenger is 13 years old though, I don't think any of us believe it will be replaced by something similar though.

Peugeot, and the French, the new PSA FCI-PSA merger)
                      is killing the V8

restrictive regs have always been there since the 1972
they change constantly, especially the C.A.R.B. regs

the internal combustion engine & the fossil fuel/energy industry
is what's being 'wiped out' mostly for political expediency
the V8 is just part of it

let's call it what it is
it's a hit job, bought & paid for

Hmm....remember when everyone said the oil companies were buying up the so called super mpg carbs?
Who would be getting paid to eliminate gas engines and who would be paying?

...gotta be able to keep 'em charged up, first...which is twofold: range, and electrical infrastructure.

Fuel won't go away - we'll need it to power the grid. Unless the Left gets its collective head out of its ass, and starts utilizing nuclear like we should. Sure as shit, windmills ain't gonna cover it!

Same with diesel. I run an EcoDiesel Grand Cherokee (can I still call it that?), and an '01 Cummins 24v - getting 'spensive to fill 'em up. Gonna have to transition back to the 50mpg motorcycle here soon...

The government has incentives of thousands of dollars to the encourage purchase of a EV. I read the Mustang EV is eligible for 8 grand in rebates from us taxpayers.
The government can easily tax gasoline to encourage the purchase of a EV. I would not be surprised to see several dollars per gallon tax to encourage the purchase of a EV, especially in the people's republic of California.

I don't see the infrastructure to support all electric vehicles, hell they cant even deliver reliable current today. What about all the waste batteries? What the hell are we going to do with all that crap? We just recently figured out what to do with all the old tires..100 years later. I personally don't see it happening as soon as they're talking about.
Leave it the government...ready, fire ,aim....
