So I've had these summit racing headers laying around for my 1973 Charger for a while http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-g9040/overview/year/1973/make/dodge/model/charger . Does anybody have experience with these? My car is a 318/727 column shift car and I was wondering whether I'd have to modify my shift linkage for them to work. The engine and trans are out of the car right now for a rebuild, so I just wanted to hear what you guys think. engine bay 1973 charger.jpg

Since the pic was taken, I've removed the stock exhaust.

My comment will be worthless for your main purpose one the shift linkage, but I have them on a 73, 318, 904 with slapstick. No issues there but I think they hang kind of low under the drag link, so the driver's side is pretty flat. Upside, they have never leaked in 15 years. Still have the graphite gaskets that I put on when I installed them.

According to Summit's directions, you don't have to make any modifications to the headers when installing on a standard transmission car. Gotta love Summit for posting directions for darn near everything they sell...
