Came out of the fuel tank on the 74 Charger

Is it rubber?

Looks like the rubber dampener between the steering column and clamp......but I can't imagine why there would be so many

I was hoping thats what it was. I thought it would look more like a "sock" though. Thanks

It is the sock. Looks like its been through a couple of them. There is only one per fuel pick-up.

That's what I thought. I painted the outside yesterday. I'll put a new sending unit in this week some time.
