I've got to remove and replace my vinyl roof and headlining. Normally I'd take both screens out but neither of them leak and there aren't any guys in my city that I trust to remove and replace them properly.

Anyone know if I can get away with leaving the glass in place?

Cheers

Probably depends on what model and year. I would say if you have trim above the windows, the edge of the vinyl would be under the trim...............................MO

It's a 69 Coronet. There's stainless trim covering the edges externally and black trim on the inside.

Not much room between the gasket and body to get it glued and tucked in .Whole lot easier with the glass out.You also have your trim clips to deal with.Top 1st then the clips screw through the vinyl.

No,you don't have to remove the glass for either. I've done them both ways, but if you're proficient, it can be done. Of course you have to remove the stainless on the outside for the vinyl, and the garnish on the inside for the headliner.

Thanks guys, I'll try doing it without removing the glass. I can always remove it if I get to the point where I'm struggling.

Thanks!
Scotty
