Does this trim get mounted first?

See pic of 68 charger rear outside window chrome… how does this get mounted between body and window felt? Maybe just slides in behind the window felt?
Note: rear glass is installed…

After more searching, looks like it goes on car first, then outside window felt?
Looks like it connects to drip rail trim?
And if so, i should wait until vinyl roof gets installed?

On 67s it's screwed on. And then felts. Yes put vinyl on first.
