door latches?

I have searched everywhere I can think of and I have read that door latches for a 68 b-body have never been reproduced?
My latches function well but it appears to me the spring loaded plastic piece is designed to spring the door open when latch is released.
My plastic pieces/blocks are worn to a point where they ramp/ride over the top of the striker.
Am I correct with this assumption. If so, what is the fix?

Classic industries.... if not them search e bay under mopar latches or the whole door something should come up..m
