Door lights not working

My 79 300 door lights are not working. They come on when I turn the headlight switch but not when I open either door. The door switches are not frozen. Any ideas of what to check?

First is check that the yellow wire is connected to ground and that it is connecting to ground when the door switches are made up. Next check for 12 volts present on the pink wire With doors open and light switch off.

I have had issues with the wiring from the body to the door. After opening and closing it umpteen million times the wires they stretched and break in the sheath. My windows would work with the door closed only. Took a bit of searching but I found the break and fixed it by lengthening the wire.
