Before your head gets torn off for mentioning buying a GTO I have to ask what else is in your stable so I can make an informed decision??

I also have a 62 Savoy that won't be sold

I have always liked the GTO and it has a big 6-71 on top.

I won't mention my mustang fetish lol

Ok then... next round of questions... is that GTO rally your "dream car" (always wanted one?)

If so then I say yes, sell the Harley and buy the car... you have equity tied up in either one.. if you decide down the road you miss the Harley and "gettin' in the wind" or get bored with the car then you can always sell again and just cash that equity back to a different bike.... You may take a small hit buying and selling but that's the price when we love our toys

I would rate the GTO in my top 5, top GM car and the $ is good. I just don't enjoy the bike like I used to

Then you said it... If you don't enjoy the bike as much these days buy the car and have some fun with it! You're not signing a lifetime contract you can always unload that Goat in a few years to tick another box off your must haves!

Just realize that puffer will limit your market if you ever want to resell....and you will when the newness wears off and you realize you can't drive the damn thing on the road with any sense of enjoyment. Great garage art however!. Don't ask me how I know these things...... Spook

Tomorrow I'm blowing the dust off the Harley, washing it and putting it up 4 sale.

The GTO would just be a 3rd car that might see some time at the strip 5 minutes from my house :)

My Savoy isn't a race car and wasn't built to be

Why?:black_eye:....but then that's me and you did ask for...

..'er sell your bike for...THAT?

bye Harley hello GTO ,when the GTO is no longer fun bye another bike

I just sold my 2012 Street Glide to help fund the completion of my 69 RR vert restoration.
My rationale is that I can enjoy the car more. I've always wanted my car finished, and bought the bike to pacify my need for a toy during the restoration of my car (going on 5 years, but will be done in July).
I can also enjoy the car with my family (wife and 3 kids), which I couldn't do on my bike.
You also hear story after story of people getting killed or hurt on bikes, especially this time of year.
